All of our cleaners are hand picked and go through our stringent recruitment process. Only the best, highly motivated, friendly and reliable cleaning staff manage to get through to working with Clean Slate. We ensure they are fully dependable, up to the job, fully trained and insured making them not only dependable and friendly but also highly trained and passionate about what they do.
All of our prices are structured, transparent and the same for all customers regardless of which area you are in. There is no hidden charges or agency fees like some other companies charge so you know the price we say really is the price you pay.
As an added benefit we also include the use of our own cleaning products within that price which means there is one less thing you need to worry about. Most of our cleaning products are ecological or environmentally friendly with the TRECOS accreditation. Obviously some cleaning tasks, (ovens for example), do require a stronger chemical to do the job properly so at this time not all of our products are TRECOS accredited but as soon as chemical technology comes along which allows us to clean those harder areas with eco products then we certainly will do.
The initial visit
Our initial visit will be a friendly chat from one of our experienced managers who will assess your home size and discuss your cleaning requirements and expectations. They will then agree with you the hours required and a start date that suits you. Less than 48 hours later we will send you a copy of your agreed cleaning schedule and our T&C’s.
There is no contract to sign and you can cancel at any time. Your allocated cleaner or cleaners will be scheduled in for the agreed start date and we’re ready to go.
This meeting will give you a chance to meet us, find out what we are about, ask any questions you may have and give you the reassurance that you can depend on us for your house cleaning needs.
The first few cleans
When we first start cleaning your home we will provide a deep clean which will include lime scale & mould removal, getting in all the nooks and corners which normally get left or forgotten. This cleaning, as you can imagine can take longer, however, after a the second or third visit you will see that your house is so much cleaner and like new. Many of our customers tell us that its like breathing a breath of fresh air every time they come home after we have cleaned their home and they couldn't believe the amount of dirt which was left by them or the other cleaners they used. As the first deep house cleaning can take slightly longer, some of our customers prefer to set up a few extra hours to begin with to allow us to finish off fully in the first visit so that when we come back the following week we are already on top of the house cleaning and simply need to keep it that way for you. Normally a one off deep cleaning service is an extra charge but we will allow the extra hours to be charged at the same price as our standard weekly house cleaning price which is £15 per hour per cleaner.
Every time we have finished cleaning your house we will fill out a “tick list” to show exactly what has been done and where. We will also write down any notes and fill out the hours worked so that you know exactly what has been cleaned and for how long.

We hear horror stories all the time from our customers and I’m sure you do too. So many cleaning companies are not really interested in providing good quality and reliable cleaning services to their customers. In fact, many of these so called cleaning companies simply want your money for as little work as possible. We hear about cleaners who refuse to hoover pet hairs or do the washing up, many domestic cleaning companies don’t even clean behind items such as the microwave, kettle or bins. Because we are so passionate about providing a quality cleaning service we wanted to change what is now known to be normal.
We truly believe that by offering a cleaning service we are providing our customers with a new lease of life with less stress. It’s true, we all lead stressful lives with work Monday to Friday, picking up the kids organising their lives, sorting the pets, seeing friends and paying all the bills. We don't get the time to clean our homes and many people simply want to live again and do the things which are important; seeing friends, spending time with the family and coming home to a clean, cared for house that you can, once again invite people round to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine without feeling embarrassed.
Some of our customers don't have the strength or have the support of family to help due to old age, ill health or disabilities. All of our customers for one reason or another depend on our cleaning services and we take this very seriously and wanted to make the change and prove that a cleaning service still does mean a service.
Not only are our cleaners passionate and sincerely interested in making your home as clean as can be but they also treat your home as if it were there own. They also follow and believe in our philosophy:

We do not charge any agency fees.
Your cleaning schedule will outline the weekly amount payable which was agreed at the initial visit. This amount will need to be paid weekly on a rolling basis. Payments should be made directly to Clean Slate through a bank transfer or standing order by no later than the day of your scheduled clean.
We can calculate a monthly figure for you if you prefer; monthly payments will need to be paid in advance of any work being carried out.
